Yeah there's an extra 18G on the end of the 100,000 there, that's because I messed up and couldn't be bothered to find another game I could use to try and even out my score (Sonic the Hedgehog won't work for some reason).
But I've finally hit 6 digits and I'm quite pleased to have done so. Only an hour or so of Golden Compass was needed and in that time period I was able to get 360 gamerscore which helped me reach my target.
It's taken me over 3 years to get to 100K and it may well take the same amount or longer to hit 200K. I want to take it easy for a bit really and work on my completion percentage (that matters to me much more these days than when I first became a gamerscore whore) which involves me going back to time consuming games I've had and ignored for years. I am not going to turn down the chance to whore out a 1000 on an easy game everynow and then though, once your a gamerscore whore your always one I think as I'm always going to get the desire to want to get my score higher.
For now though I'm walking around with my chin held high as I embrace the reality of joining the 6 digit gamerscore club. :D

Countdown to 100,000 Begins!
Okay so I meant to write this blog when I was 5,000 gamerscore away from the elusive 100k however I've either forgotten or not bothered and as a result am now just 3,500 gamerscore away. So I'm now going to make a list of games I need to play and the optimum amount of gamerscore I believe I can get from them. This is as follows:
LOTR Conquest: - 1000
Trivial Pursuit: - 935
Golden Compass: - 490 (could be more if I can be bothered)
Crash of Titans: - 500 (a guess)
Feeding Frenzy: - 30
That's the gamerscore I currently have my eyes set on but that will leave me 500+ short! I think I may try and get NBA Live 09 off of a friend which will hopefully give me enough gamerscore to reach the 100k, if not I've got lots of other games such as Shaun White and Tony Hawk's Proving Ground which need to be played sometime.
My aim is to be able to reach 100k before June. It's quite a big ask but Trivial Pursuit will be done quick and LOTR Conquest shouldn't take too long. Few more hours of Golden Compass should complete the game and give me the remaining achievements and making sure the time spent with my girlfriend is spent on Crash of the Titans will get me the gamerscore from there. Finally if I am able to get NBA Live 09 and if it can be simulated (I hope so) I'll be sure to reach my goal quite easily.

End of Week 8 of GSL
I didn't think I would be playing this week, the schedule had me down for being a sub but due to Wadinho going on a holiday and kizwiz not wanting to play I was basically forced (by myself, no one on the team made me) to play as I fought to get the Not So Silent Ninjas to 7th. Check out my mini reviews of the games I played in my last and final week of the GSL.
Now Skate 2 came out late January, just when I happened to get the RROD so I purchased it on PS3 (not wanting to miss out on playing it) and ended up trading it in and getting it on the 360 just when the GSL was about to start. I had already gotten the majority of the trophies on the PS3 version and therefore wasn't fussed about waiting a couple of months for the GSL to end for me to play however I was aware it had easy gamerscore so throughout the 8 weeks I have played it gradually, finally getting to Week 8 and after a bit of pre-playing before the week started got nearly all of the achievements done. The game is really good and it's been great to take a break from whoring crappy games during the GSL to play a bit of something I love and still manage to get gamerscore from. I won't discuss the game anymore as I fancy doing a blog dedicated to the game but wanted to include it in this end of week review as I did play a lot pre-week and finish off the majority of the achievements.
From the previous week I bought PGR4 as a friend of mine wanted me to get it so bad he was willing to spend £5 towards me doing so. I was aware it did have easy gamerscore so I decided to act and buy the game for Week 7. It helped that week (200 QUICK Gamerscore) but I didn't have the time to give the game the attention I wanted to do, that's what I did this week. I have been so hooked on playing this game (up until yesterday, 3 days after GSL when I finally got to Rank 1) as it's so god damn fun and easy for gamerscore, I entertained myself collecting the random puzzle achievements and eventually bored it out in Career mode trying to rank up. Been unable to play online with my friend much as I've been so focused on the Single Player aspect, that will be done soon as I aim to get Gold on everything in Arcade (and maybe Platinum if I'm lucky).
This World War game should have been left in the 20th century with those that had fallen in war as it's a pretty bad game, as I discovered when I finally played the Story Mode after boosting online for weeks. Throughout the week and the days post GSL I have managed to finish off the game, getting a full well deserved 1000 gamerscore from it. Having to go through the majority of the levels 3 times, one for each character (total of three) wasn't as hellish as I had imagined it would be thanks to the levels being rather quick (got longer as the game progressed though!). I was extremely greatful for the simple structure the achievements have which is simply complete every level on the game for the gamerscore. There's no need to collect any crap or play on Veteran difficulty which meant I need not worry about missing out achievements which if you didn't know causes me lots of stress. I can forgive the (at times) dumb AI and the odd glitch where you get stuck in between the door as overall the game is quick and different, meaning you won't get bored as you continue to gain easy gamerscore. I recommend this to all, even completionists (if you can be bothered to boost for 10+ hours online which I'm sure you will).
They are the three games I mainly played during the last and final week of the GSL. I will be writing another blog post shortly writing about the overall experience of participating in a GSL and hopefully throw up some interesting statistics about my performance during the competition. Other games I played this week were:
Golden Compass (oh how crap!, will speak about in the future), Phantasy Star Universe, Prince of Persia and Condemned 2.

End of Week 2 of GSL
Bit late to post this but I was rather tired on Sunday from gaming all day and yesterday I got lazy. But Week 2 of the GSL has ended and yet again me and the Not So Silent Ninjas find ourselves in 10th place.
I sure did disappoint myself this week getting over half of the goal of 3,000 for the week which was supposed to be a minimum set by my Captain in order for us to stay in contention for a Top 6 finish. I started off on Wednesday with getting a few extra achievements on EURO 2008 which I never originally planned to get, 2 of them being ridicoulous online ones. So first day start was good and I followed up well by playing Jericho on Thursday from 7PM until 12PM and the same on Friday to end up getting a 1,000 there. It was a decent enjoyable game and I am probably one of the only people that thinks this as everyone either hates or loves the game. I'm glad I played it as I haven't gone through a FPS in a while, storyline was enough to keep me motivated which is what I really like about FPS games.
I had believed that The Golden Compass was going to arrive on Saturday and then this would be my game of choice to play on Saturday but it didn't arrive, damaging my ego as I knew I was going to have to compensate and bother to play Call of Juarez. It's a good enjoyable game that isn't too hard on gamerscore but it's the collectables which are really putting me off. I don't like my games to have them and Call of Juarez has you collecting Posters and Guns. What makes it so bad is when you have a gun there is no way to progress it, therefore meaning if you miss just one you won't be able to go to the statistics page and see what you need to get like you can with the posters. Online achievements are good and I had fun boosting to get them however I dislike having to get 5 people online just so I can blow them up with a dynamite stick. It's not hard to do it's just hard finding people to boost with you.
After wasting time at the weekend to go skate and be with my girlfriend I found myself with only 350 or so gamerscore collected from Call of Juarez when I had planned to have gotten at least 1000 as I combined it with The Golden Compass. I went on Skate 2 at the end to try and get some easy gamerscore to boost my weekly total up slightly but that didn't help as the update didn't include my 50G gotten 15 minutes or so before the deadline at 9PM.
Week 3 is a resting week for me so I am going to do lots of college work (hopefully) and get in some skateboarding which has been little of so far partially due to GSL. I really should pre-play some games and I might do, just lacking motivation as our team is too far behind to think about winning and our rivals The Hand of Thrawn have got a big lead on us too. Either way Ducky Dan is still motivated so I'm counting on him to get us back into the fight, he's my hope.
